Our story
Why we do this.
The trucks bring us together. The memories are why we come back.
The manifesto
Solos Beach Bonanza has never really been about who has the nicest truck.
It's about loading up with your friends or family, driving hundreds or thousands of miles, meeting people you've only known through social media, making new friends, seeing somewhere beautiful, and having one of those weekends you talk about for the rest of your life.
Some people drive to the Bonanza. Some trailer. Some fly into Florida just to be part of it. And that's the point.
We believe the best automotive events aren't defined by trophies or judging sheets. They're defined by people and places.
In 20, 40, or 50 years, nobody is going to remember who parked three spots away from them. They're going to remember cruising through Florida before sunrise. Crossing into the Keys with a line of old trucks behind them. Friday night on the beach. The people they met, the laughs, the stories, the music, the sunsets, and the trip they took to get there.
That's what we're building.
How it started
A winter excuse to get the family together.
In 2023, while much of the country was frozen, Solomon Lunger invited friends and like-minded builders down to Gilbert's Resort in Key Largo: trucks on the sand, tiki huts, and a winter reason to drive. Gilbert's sold out that first year, and every year since.
It started as a truck show on the beach. For our fifth edition, we're turning the trip itself into the event.

Five years of Bonanza
The official numbers.
Our own counts, every year. When a number about the Bonanza matters, this is the source.
